Packaging line integration

Connect process decisions to the equipment on either side.

Where to begin

Start with the material flow and the stopping conditions. A new infeed, wrapper or strapper changes the way upstream equipment must release product and the way downstream equipment must accept it. Record the product state at each boundary, who owns the transfer and what happens when either machine is unavailable.

Read the RoboSELEX analysis to separate grouping from case packing. Use the stretch-wrap and banding comparison to define the restraint station after palletizing.

Choose the question you need to answer

Use RoboSELEX Line Integration: Interfaces Before the Case Packer to define the grouping boundary before a case packer.

Use Stretch Wrap vs Banding in an End-of-Line System to choose restraint around the load and downstream handoff.

Use Rotary Arm Stretch Wrapper vs Turntable Integration: PPH, 250% Pre-Stretch and Guarding to compare stationary-load rotary arm versus turntable kinematics, 16-revolution PPH cycle budgets, 250% powered pre-stretch carriages, and ISO 13855 muting light curtains.

Use Case Erector Integration: Magazine Sizing, Blank Separation & Squareness to calculate refill time, check single-blank pickup and define square-case delivery to the packer.

What to carry into an equipment or material review

Bring the actual package identifiers, the previous accepted condition and a record of the failure or change you are investigating. Label unmeasured values as unknown. Ask the responsible supplier to connect each proposed setting to the specific equipment and material combination.
